Esther Royal Beauty, Angela Hunt

I was given a copy of Esther Royal Beauty for an honest review. I’ve never read anything by Angela Hunt before. Her writing style is written in such a way that you can’t put the book down. She’s brought Esther to live in a way that I’ve never read before. I loved it. Esther is one of my favorite books in the Bible, so when I say this as an option and then was picked, I was excited. I don’t want to give anything way, but you will see her in a different light and the way she grows in character as the book moves along.

This is a beautiful re-telling of Esther.I believe all women should read this book. There’s so much to learn and truths to be told. I’ll be reading more from this author in the future.

When Xerxes, king of Persia, issues a call for beautiful young women, Hadassah, a Jewish orphan living in Susa, is forcibly taken to the palace of the pagan ruler. After months of preparation, the girl known to the Persians as Esther wins the king’s heart and a queen’s crown.

But because her situation is uncertain, she keeps her ethnic identity a secret until she learns that an evil and ambitious man has won the king’s permission to exterminate all Jews–young and old, powerful and helpless. Purposely violating an ancient Persian law, she risks her life in order to save her people…and bind her husband’s heart.
